DTN COMMENTS: The country is slow to start this morning, following
yesterday's light trade volumes. More business should need to take place at
some point this week. Asking prices are around $138 in the South, and $220
in the North. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with light to moderate
box movement.

A light dressed trade was reported in the North yesterday at mostly $218,
fully steady with last week's weighted averages, the majority of these deals
are set for delivery the week of January 31st and February 7th. A more
scattered trade was reported in the South at mostly $137, $1 to $1.50 lower
than last week's weighted averages.
